John Ratkowitz has successfully recovered millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients injured on construction sites throughout New Jersey. He is published extensively in the area of construction site safety, construction accidents, medical malpractice and complex tort litigation. He is on the Editorial Board of Medical Malpractice Law and Strategy,  a monthly periodical which publishes scholarly articles and keeps lawyers and physicians current on judicial, legislative and medical developments that can impact the area of medical malpractice.   

John's substantial experience in construction site accident litigation has allowed him to work with and develop a network of nationally known experts in OSHA and construction site safety. Also, John works with economists who are familiar with the unique issues related to future economic losses that union workers face in cases involving catastrophic loss.

He sits on the Medical Malpractice Subcommittee of the New Jersey Bar Association. He has been nominated by his peers in the field of medical malpractice in the annual Super Lawyers survey since 2010. In 2013, John was nominated as a member of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers,  a professional organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from across the country who exemplify superior qualifications as civil plaintiff or criminal defense trial lawyers.
